Kiawah River Events Internship

Join our team for an exciting summer internship where you'll have the opportunity to shadow different departments within our organization, including the property Amenities, Environmental facets of this expansive property, Residential sales, Development, and Marketing. You'll be involved in various resident and public events throughout the summer, gaining hands-on experience and learning from industry professionals. From weddings to community gatherings, you'll have the chance to contribute to the planning and execution of a wide range of events.
Events to Benefit From:
- May and June Weddings
- Goat 5K Run
- Spoonbill
- Holiday Market
- Auberge/Dunlin Grand Openings
- Smaller POA events - Live music, movie nights, KRWC events (trivia, foraging lunches, indigo classes, talks, etc.)
- Holidays - Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day
- Boots and Bourbon
- Sweet Potato Harvest
Tasks to Shadow/Complete:
- Solo Project: Wellness Retreat - researching and coming up with itinerary/vendors for weekend/day retreat
- Planning/Designing/Coordinating/Executing events
- Community News - sending and editing
- Billing/Managing budgets for multiple entities
- Managing legal contracts for events and vendors
- Project Management/Communication - using Asana and other software to communicate with colleagues
- Research resident management software

Requirements
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, etc.)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a passion for event planning
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of project management tools such as Asana is a plus
Salary Description
$15-$18 per hour
