Print Production Artist/Graphic Designer

Job Summary:

Must be local to Richmond, VA area

This role will be responsible for the layout and production of print ads and additional duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Production Artist to manage Stauer’s print advertisements. Your role will be to take on print ad designs and reformat for multiple publications’ ad specifications. You will ensure accuracy and prepare them for print. To be successful in this position, you should combine strong creative and technical skills to format various images and illustrations. You should also have an eye for detail and project management experience. Must be highly organized. Ultimately, you will ensure our print ads meet high quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Layout and production of print advertisements (additional duties as needed)
• Manage the print ad production schedule
• Follow deadlines to ensure timely delivery to publications
• Archive produced files
• Follow up with clients to ensure their requirements are met
• Detail oriented
• Strong typography skills
• Superior organization skills and ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment
• Solid knowledge of the printing process and preflighting tools
• Retouching of digital assets (Adobe Photoshop) as needed
• Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat)
• Proficient Mac User
• BFA in graphic design preferred
• Must be local to Richmond, VA area
