We are a privately owned dynamic and growing manufacturing company located in Chandler near the 101 looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. No relocation packages will be offered.
Manufacturing Engineer:
This is a salary exempt day shift (Monday through Friday) position with occasional evenings or weekends.
This Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing Engineering related activities that supports the overall business goals and customer expectations. Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems.
The ultimate responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to Interface with functional area representatives and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge, and experience.
Responsibilities:
· Participates in design reviews and approval phases.
· Assesses manufacturability of product with Engineering.
· Assists in the development of inspection criteria with Quality Control.
· Support of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities associated with development and production/ manufacturing problems.
· Creating, maintaining and improving processes, work flow, and process documentation.
· Creates and submits Engineering Change Request to Engineering for review and approval.
· Review & approves Engineering Change Orders.
· Work with Materials Group to develop and implement technical requirements for suppliers. Coordinate and/or participate on supplier assessment, work with suppliers to resolve issues.
· Maintain product Bill of Materials in ERP system.
· Work with cross functional teams to create and maintain Methods of Manufacturing within ERP system.
· Work with QA on Production & Manufacturing issues and inspection criteria. Coordinate/support non-conforming product disposition working with the Production/Quality department to define the proper disposition of the non-conformity.
· Provide technical engineering expertise to Quality & Manufacturing.
· Other duties as may be assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position, the individual should possess the following:
· bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related experience and education
· Strong problem solving and organizational skills
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and training skills
· Demonstrated proficiency in Solidworks, AutoDesk experience a plus
· Experience with E-10 (Epicor product) is a plus
· General knowledge of weld, machining & overall manufacturing process & equipment
· Experience with interfacing with suppliers to support process development and cost reduction for new products
· Proven problem-solving skills
Experience:
- relevant: 3-5 years (Preferred)
