Job Description

IT Specialist-Field Service Tech- Mid

*Must Have and Active Secret Clearance

The Field Service Technician performs one or many of a wide range of installation tasks such as running conduit and cable, installing and connecting trays, racks and electronic hardware systems, connecting and testing both new and retrofit construction of audio/visual, computer server, network and telecommunications equipment.
Will be Responsible for on-site and/or remote installation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktops, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals; Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.
Monitor, operate and maintain hardware, software, and networks for a computing platform for assigned military installations.
Configure, assemble and install laptops, microcomputers, workstations and/or peripheral equipment.
Perform first line support for service interruptions such as printer routings, power outages, wiring problems, and malfunctioning servers and escalate unresolved problems to expedite resolution. Upgrade, modify and replace hardware, software and network components.
The candidate should have at a minimum, intermediate-level knowledge of latest and NMCI approved versions of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows operating system, Active Directory, config/modify NMCI Network Switches, Radia and iPhone/Android, and follow-on systems/applications.
Windows 10 OS trained.

Skills that will help resource be successful in this role:

How to handle trouble shooting process.
Good communication-
Stellar customer service skills.
Understanding that by the time they receive ticket, client is most likely frustrated and just wants a solution to fix the issue.
Some type of working experience with military. Respectful attitude and knowing how to communicate with leadership.

Required:
Minimum of Four (4) years of related experience in IT services.

Certification Required:

CompTIA A+ CE
CompTIA Network+ CE
CompTIA Security + CE
CISSP
