Position Title: Surgical Tech
Reporting Structure: New hire > Charge > Shift Coordinator > Manager > Director
Salary and Shift Differential Pay: Regular $21.73-$33.69 & Certified $24.42 to $37.85
Work Hours and On-Call Hours Required: 12, 10, or 9-hour shifts, days/evenings with on-call
Relocation Fee: Up to $10,000
Retention Package: $20,000 for a two-year commitment. $5,000 in the first check, $5,000 at the end of the first year, and $10,000 at the end of year two. Additionally, a $5,000 bonus to the vendor at the end of the first year.
Sign-on Bonus: $15,000

Overview:

Are you a skilled Surgical Tech with a passion for cardiovascular procedures? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Surgical Tech, you'll play a crucial role in assisting with complex cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, heart transplants, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with surgical procedures in the CVOR, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and ensure efficient workflow during surgeries.
• Provide support during emergent situations, including rapid transfusions and open chest defibrillation.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Tech (CST) preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience as a Surgical Scrub or in a CVOR setting highly preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Interview Process:

• Onsite interview with leadership (initial virtual option available for out-of-town candidates).
• Opportunity to shadow CVOR procedures.
• Closed department with CVOR Board Runner/Service Line Coordinators providing daily operational oversight.
• Orientation period lasting 8-12 weeks, depending on experience level.
