Surgical First Assistant

Cosmetic Physician Partners is building a premier network of Physician-led aesthetic clinics throughout the United States. We have partnered with Admire MD Plastic Surgery + Skin Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ and are seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be a certified Surgical First Assistant with a minimum of three years of experience. Must have a love for the aesthetic industry, a willingness to learn and train, and an eagerness to build and grow with us!

Responsibilities:

• Provide care according to physician's instruction and in accordance with recognized techniques and procedures and established standards and policies to maintain the health and general well-being of the patient
• Provide preoperative and postoperative teaching for both patient and family members
• Assist during surgery or other procedures as indicated
• Set up the patient for surgery including prepping area, draping with sterile drapes, setting up a clean tray with anesthesia, and preparing instruments
• Scrub in as assistant to the surgeons
• Hand instruments and cut sutures, keep the operative area clean and organized
• Administer anesthesia as directed by the physician
• Prepare equipment and paperwork for surgery
• Maintain appropriate records and documentation
• Rooming & completing patient intake/obtaining HPI
• Scribing while assisting with exams; attention to detail is key

• Surgical First Assistant Certification - preferred
• 3 or more years of experience assisting in a range of plastic surgery procedures for face, breasts, and body.
• Excellent communication skills and follow-through
• Experience working in a medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery office is a plus
• Experience in performing consultations, cross-promoting services, and skincare products, and the ability to close sales
• Familiar with EHR software for healthcare systems.
