Sr. Account Manager (Digital Marketing)

Ignite Visibility is a leading US-based digital marketing agency in San Diego, California, and we are looking for an experienced senior Digital Marketing Account Manager to join our team. The Sr. Account Manager is the leader of assigned client accounts, develops and manages client relationships, and provide strategist client plans that grows clients' services, promotes client retention, and promotes loyalty. This individual possesses high level inside sales experience and is experience in managing name brands and enterprise accounts. This role is client-facing and requires expertise in presentation and effectively speaking and engaging clients.
This is a full-time remote within the 50 U.S. and is available to U.S. eligible residents.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own responsibility for their accounts, for their team, for the creative work, for account marketing strategies.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all account management matters.
- Actively drive client account growth, upsells, and cross-sells.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Understand our client’s sales and marketing processes so we can consult and
build their needs to get maximum impact.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Manage client service outcomes to increase retention rates and reduce churn.
- Confidently handle any cancellation requests on accounts and collaborate with the account management team to engage in retention practices.
- Collaborate with internal team members to drive results for the client, identify risks and opportunities, solve client problems, provide strategies, and hold teams accountable to budget, timelines, productivity, process, standards, and results.
- Expand revenue in accounts through cross-selling and up-sell opportunities and own the renewal process from end to end.
- Manage client listening points through surveys, Executive Sponsor sync calls, exit surveys, and more.
- Utilize Ignite’s business management and communication platforms to keep
stakeholders informed, tasks assigned, and projects well managed in accordance
with deadlines.
- Be innovative and follow industry trends to stay on the cutting edge.
- Assist sales team with presentations and proposal development
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a senior level Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or Account Executive in a digital marketing or advertising agency.
- Experience managing enterprise accounts and high value accounts notable brands
- 6-10 years account management experience leading complex medium and enterprise accounts.
- 6+ years’ experience in client account management/client success experience.
- 5+ years of sales and business development experience.
- 5+ years of experience working in digital marketing.
- Strong sales and account growth experience in an agency setting.
- Experience in mid-sized to enterprise marketing agencies.
- Strong sense of responsibility for their account, for their team, for the creative work, for account marketing strategies.
- Have a drive to learn and grow in digital marketing knowledge and skills continually.
- Strong understanding of integrated digital marketing channels such as Paid Media, SEO,
Display, Social, Content Marketing, UX, and Analytics.
- Experience with B2B & B2C lead generation.
- Franchise or multi-location marketing experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time.
- Proven ability to build rapport with clients and problem-solve effectively.
- Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Excellent business acumen and experience working with business executives.
- Experience working with Project Management systems such as PK4, Slack, and other Account management tools and platforms, such as website analytic tools like Google Analytics.
