Description

As a Senior Project Engineer in the DRMP Roadway Division, you will provide design reviews and QA/QC support in the development of construction plans for roadway projects throughout Florida for clients such as FDOT, CFX, FTE and local municipalities and counties.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

Perform QA/QC, biddability, and constructability reviews of engineering designs including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
Perform reviews of project documentation including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Packages, Design Variations and Exceptions, Estimated Quantity Reports, and Project Meeting minutes.
Collaborating with technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
Verification of adherence to client design criteria.
Support of post-design services on roadway projects.
Assist in preparation of Project Quality Control Plans.

What you'll need

Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
Minimum of 10 years of transportation roadway design experience
Familiarity with applicable design software (Bentley’s MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer, etc.)
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
