Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, housing regulations, and tax credit compliance reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit regulations
• Conduct regular file audits and inspections to ensure proper documentation and compliance
• Develop and maintain relationships with state housing agencies and other regulatory bodies
• Provide training and support to property management staff on compliance issues
• Prepare and submit required reports to state agencies in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff to address compliance issues and provide support as needed

Qualifications:

• LIHTC Property management in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in low-income housing tax credit compliance reporting
• Strong knowledge of property management principles and housing regulations
• Excellent people skills and ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn new software systems
• RealPage property management software experience
