Engineering Technician Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the Engineering department with drawings (drafting), new part set-ups, customer quotes, custom designs, engineering inquiries, and other engineering task as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support New Product Development activities as required by engineering.
• Measure and test mechanical components.
• Test prototype products and help develop proper documentation.
• Support existing production activities by providing manufacturing and quality support as required. Provide engineering support to the sales organization.
• Provide Customer Service assistance.
• Work with OEM mechanical, electrical, and compliance engineers to design and implement company provided solutions.
• Responsible for the incorporation of changes into drawings, tooling, and specifications.

•  Associates degree or equivalent in Engineering desired.
• One to three years of industry experience desired.
• ERP System experience desired.
