RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounting Manager supervises tracks and evaluates day-to-day activities. Accounting manager responsibilities include - establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

o Month and end-year process

o Accounts payable staff and process

o Invoicing staff and process

o Application and process of cash receipts

o General ledger

o Revenue and expenditure variance analysis

o Capital assets reconciliations

o Fixed asset activity

o Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

o Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

o Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

o Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

o Meet financial accounting objectives

o Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

REQUIREMENTS

o BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

o 5+ years GL experience

o Previous Supervisory experience

o Manufacturing or distribution experience (inventory) required

o Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

o Ability to manipulate large amounts of data

o High attention to detail and accuracy

o Flexible and detailed orientated
