Accounts Payable And Receivable Specialist

Summary:

Provides support to the businesses’ finance group by performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Responsible for managing the day-to-day transactions related to the accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policy.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare daily cash summary and ensure cash is in balance.
• Once a week prepare a cash forecast.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Assist in month-end closing processes.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and accounting principles.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency in AP/AR workflows.
• Prepare reports and analyses as requested by management.
• Process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Verify and reconcile vendor statements, addressing any discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors in a timely manner, via bank portal.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of payable accounts.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve payment-related inquiries
• Verify invoices were sent to the right customers.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, ensuring timely payment.
• Record and reconcile customer payments in the accounting system.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to billing.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports to assess the status of receivables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports.
• Deadline-oriented with excellent time management and attention to detail.
