Position Summary:
Frontline communicator to Fab Weld employees, assigns daily assignments and assists the Welders and Assemblers as needed to manufacture products to customer drawings and specifications.

Utilizes the Work Center Dispatch Report in due date order to coordinate workflow scheduling. Exceptions will be communicated by production control or operations manager.
Assists the Welders and Assemblers with lay-outs, questions and workload responsibilities.
Trains employees in safe operation of welding equipment, cranes and safety awareness.
Keep Operations Manager advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to
work assignments.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic
calculations.
Must be proficient in welding techniques.
Must be able to perform wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum and
galvanized.
Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection using basic measuring tools.
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
Maintain work area in clean orderly condition, performs preventative maintenance and follows
prescribed safety procedures.
Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in
writing.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the department, they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performed by other department members.

Bend/stoop occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
Reach above occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
Drive, use of foot controls occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
Pushing/Pulling occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
Fine Manipulation occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
Grip occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day for parts handling.
Balance continuously up to 10 hours a day - working around equipment.
Lift/Carry parts ranging from 0 lb. – 10 lbs. continuously up to 10 hours a day.
Lift/Carry parts ranging from 10 lbs. – 20 lbs. frequently up to 7.0 hours a day.
Lift/Carry parts ranging from 20 lbs. – 50 lbs. occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and ability to adjust focus. QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to perform essential duties
High school education or GED
Minimum of ten years of various forms of welding
Successful completion of an internal welding test
