SCHEDULE: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm or M-Thurs 1:00pm-11:30pm


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform welding operations based on interpreting shop records and drawings and assemble and measurement details.
  • Work from shop drawings and sketches to set up workstation for specific jobs.
  • Manipulate welding gun and lay proper fill or bead to meet and satisfy pressure testing requirements.
  • Follow quality control standards to ensure meeting quality and quantity requirements.
  • Obtain first piece inspection approval and periodically visually inspect and/or gauge work for quality appearance and dimensional accuracies.
  • Perform grinding operations to dress the appearance of weldments.
  • To maintain continuous movement of work, use hand truck, lift truck, lift hoist or overhead crane to move material to and from storage, staging areas, or workstation.
  • Perform daily lift truck inspections
  • Read and accurately interpret measuring devices
  • Act as authorized employee for the lock out / tag out program
  • Adhere to established safety rules and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years work experience.
  • Meet production quantity requirements.
  • Possess and demonstrate positive mentoring and leadership qualities.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Successful participation in training events (ie; Lockout/Tagout; HazCom; and overhead crane training)
  • Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Possess basic organizational skills.
