Project Manager - Lighting Industry

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter in project orders and manage all projects for a key customer account
• Assist with entering in shipping and tracking information for open POs
• Coordinate project submittal documentation
• Coordinate release schedules, logistics, and any other deliverables with the customer
• Work with quotations team to ensure project POs are transmitted to the proper manufacturers on time and with any necessary notations and/or documentation
• Maintain list of projects being actively managed
• Monitor logistic status of projects to ensure proper and complete delivery within expected timeframes
• Monitor and manage any issues that arise including RGAs, short shipments, damages, add-ons, etc.
• Proactively issue project summary status reports on a weekly basis until PLS’ involvement in project is substantially complete
• Monthly billing and invoicing reconciliation
• Monitor orders ticket system continuously for new requests and provide timely responses
• Assist with answering phones and incoming customer questions
• Support the outside sales team
• Be available to attend factory training locally, virtually, or at a particular factory
• Any additional responsibilities assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of project management experience
• 1-2 years of experience in the lighting industry or 3+ years in the construction industry
• Experience working in OASIS lighting sales software by Ingen Software, Inc.
• Must be a self-starter who is extremely organized, detail oriented, and able to effectively follow through with tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to manage multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing effectively
• Strong teamwork capabilities
• A professional and respectful disposition
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, online ticket systems, and database applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years in the lighting industry

Company Expectations:

The project manager role is a key member of the team and a critical component of ensuring client projects are executed thoroughly and properly. This role will primarily focus on a single key customer account and will involve managing multiple complex projects from that customer simultaneously. Accuracy, thoroughness, and multitasking will be essential to the role. We are looking for someone who revels in the details.

Compensation:

• Salary range of $60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience

We are a Manufacturers Rep firm in the lighting industry with a full-range product portfolio spanning from residential through industrial lighting. Our largest partnership is with Signify, the world’s largest lighting manufacturer. The founder of PLS has been in the lighting industry for 32+ years and started the company in 2003.
