The Challenge:
We are seeking a Civil Engineer, PE licensed – Team Lead to join our growing design team. The Civil Engineer will work closely with the whole Civil Team on ongoing projects. Our work ranges from hydrologic and water resource designs to horizontal and geotechnical designs located in the US and beyond. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers, self-motivated, communicate proactively, and enjoy collaborating with other disciplines throughout the design process.

Principle areas of responsibility are:

• Preparation of Construction Documents including specifications
• Use third party applications (XP SWMM, ICPR or Stormwise, or equivalent modeling software) to provide stormwater management design
• Site Design to include sitting of the building, design of the geometry of the supporting site features including parking, pedestrian flow, and access roads.
• Grading and drainage design including storm sewer design/calculations.
• Preparation of permit documents for Erosion Control and Stormwater Permits, primarily in the southeast United States. Specific experience permitting projects in North Carolina according to the Minimum Design Criteria is a plus
• Direct, mentor and oversee junior engineers.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design within the civil engineering discipline.
• PE license required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
• Experience with facilities for clients in the Federal Government sector is highly desirable.
