Principal Service Solutions is hiring Entry Level and Experienced Field Service Engineers. You will be trained on installation, servicing, and maintaining semiconductor equipment in a manufacturing fab/cleanroom environment. Travel will be required at some point to support activity in different semiconductor fabs nationwide. All travel expenses paid. Must be ok with being away for 6 to 8 weeks. Must be flexible with all shifts, days/nights. Must be willing to travel 80% to 100% domestic/or international.

Pay Rate: 28.00/hr to 30.00/hr DOE

Job Description:

• Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
• Troubleshoots equipment problems
• Maintains records and reports as required
• Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
• Orders and installs parts
• Responds to emergency service calls as required
• Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
• Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
• Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
• Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both Principal Service Solutions and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s)

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• 0 years of previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools.
• A thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and company procedures is required.
• Must be open to 100% travel (all travel expenses paid).
• Full-time travel/and or occasional overnight travel to the factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required.
• Must be okay with travel/ being away for 6 to 8 weeks if required to support work assignments. 
• Must be flexible with all shifts, days/nights.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Excellent customer interface skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

• Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a cleanroom environment, in awkward positions, and in high places
• Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required
• May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing
• May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum Education of High School Diploma required
• Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
