CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

ECM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Construction Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Lafayette, LA location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering and a passion for delivering projects that exceed client expectations. As a Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop project plans.
• Conduct site inspections to assess construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Review and approve construction drawings, designs, and materials to ensure they meet project requirements and specifications.
• Review RFI’s.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Implement quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of construction quality and safety.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records related to construction projects.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in construction technology, materials, and methods, and make recommendations for improvement or innovation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field. or ability to become one quickly.
• 4-6 years of experience in construction engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
