Interior Designer

Amy Carman Design, an award winning, high-end residential design firm in Milwaukee, is seeking to add a full-time Interior Designer to our growing team. Our firm has created beautiful residential and commercial spaces for Milwaukee-area clients for the past fifteen years. Projects are varied and include luxury interiors, high-end residential construction, boutique commercial interiors, cabinetry, millwork design and interior architecture. We value craftsmanship, innovation and creativity, and strive to make every project a collaboration that reflect our clients’ unique tastes.

We are seeking a designer with the creativity, determination, and work ethic to bring their projects to fruition. A love of all things design, along with the ability to listen to and inspire our clients is essential. The ideal candidate is a polished, independent self-starter who enjoys working with a team, someone who exhibits flexibility and resiliency in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines, and possesses an array of technical and design oriented skills. Duties include but are not limited to: design of detailed interior architecture projects, creation of furniture and decor plans, material, finish and fixture selections, detailed 2D and 3D project drawings from concept to construction documents. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships is key.

Desired Skills & Experience:
Candidates who are being considered for this position should provide a strong portfolio with examples of recent work. Must have a high level of proficiency with AutoCad and SketchUp and industry experience. A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and the ability to travel locally on occasion is required. Experience with Mac platform and the following programs is considered a plus: Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MS Excel, Studio Designer.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required. 1-5 years of experience and/or degrees in a relevant field are preferred.
