Salary:

The Project Coordinator – Tax Processing is responsible for working as members of the firm’s administrative team and coordinate a variety of activities related to client service and administrative support projects, with a strong emphasis on tax processing. Tax processing involves managing incoming client tax return information as well as final assembly of tax returns prior to filing.


Essential Functions:

 

  • Coordinating income tax return processing and tracking functions.
  • Management of document scanning activities, including work with Student Administrative Assistants and others.
  • Supporting preparation and distribution of client tax packets.
  • Providing assistance with daily administrative support activities, such as creation and maintenance of spreadsheets, bulk mail project coordination, special event planning and execution and entering deposits, as needed.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential issues or bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to resolve them.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to streamline tax processing workflows.
  • Managing of daily office errands schedule.
  • Ordering and maintaining office supply inventory.
  • Serving as reception desk backup, either in a primary or secondary role.
  • Serving as primary backup for audit report processing.


Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required, and some college education is preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe software platforms.
  • Word processing, use of spreadsheets, email, document management and calendaring programs is required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds at times.
  • Extended hours are required at certain times throughout the year, depending on client needs.
