Billing Specialist

Summary:

Billing Specialist will process monthly invoices and administer all billing requirements for accounting systems. Billing Specialist will record revenue, create billing, reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger accounts, and interact with international and domestic lessees via email.

Responsibilities:

• Generate lease rent and maintenance reserve billings as specified by customer contracts and usage reports.
• Responsible for the identification, analysis, and communication of billing issues throughout the billing process and recommend procedural changes that would improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
• Identify unusual or nonrecurring transactions as defined in customer contracts.
• Perform sub-ledger accounting duties and interface with general ledger, reconciling both systems.
• This position backs-up the collections process and accounts payable as needed.
• Manage all correspondence related to accounts receivable and interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Review returned acceptance documents and lease amendments, extensions, and termination of contracts as transactions occur.
• Input utilization (aircraft engine usage) reports into leasing system to generate maintenance reserve billing.
• Update and maintain maintenance reserve summary worksheets to track outstanding usage reports.
• Review general postings for billing to the accounting system to ensure all billing has been posted correctly.
• Prepare accounts reconciliation as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• BS in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in Accounts Receivable or Billing.
• Understanding of contract terms and conditions.
• Billing system administrative and management skills are a plus.
• Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team.
