The Sr. Director, U.S. Commercial Analytics & Operations will provide the leadership, vision and functional expertise for pre/post commercialization efforts for the endocrinology rare disease portfolio in the United States.

This includes leading a team of experts focused on executing market research, developing/revising forecasts, implementing/managing field operations and optimizing data management support. Entrepreneurial leader who builds and develops strong teams of people with diverse experiences, perspectives and talents and creates an environment in which the team is highly motivated and engaged to work together to deliver exceptional results consistent with company vision, mission and values. Develops and sustains highly collaborative and effective cross-functional working relationships with US and European colleagues. The position will be office based in Princeton, New Jersey and will report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Commercial Strategy, Endocrinology. Support the development of a thorough market research plan to support key strategic and tactical decisions for the TransCon portfolio Manage all aspects of new launch, inline and portfolio forecasts including supporting the development of epidemiology and prescription-based models, across the global, ERD portfolio Ensure that the conclusions and implications drawn from market research studies are objective, sound, relevant to the underlying business questions, supported by data, and communicated effectively to cross-functional teams and commercial leadership Contribute to the development of evidence-based, global forecast scenarios in driving strategic decisions.

Carry out base-case and scenario analyses (TPP’s, launch year, market share, price, sales ramp, etc.) to support decision making by key partners and stakeholders including Commercial, Business Development/Strategy, Finance, Manufacturing, and executive leadership Serve as a thought partner for operational implementation of commercial systems and collaboration with Marketing/Sales/Market Access teams, in preparation for the launch and ongoing management of our endocrinology rare disease (ERD) portfolio in the United StatesFocus areas include design, development, and administration of all incentive compensation plans that align to Ascendis guiding principles, development of call plans following brand strategy, implementation of field technology enabling seamless customer/home office engagement and ensuring overall field force execution supports brand and franchise strategy. Possess a strong understanding of industry secondary data and syndicated sources and their strengths and weaknesses Present findings and make recommendations to management regarding brand, market performance Deep understanding of all stages of the buying process; ability to highlight commercial opportunities and gaps Become a trusted partner collaborating and influencing brand strategy to drive performance Sustain comprehensive organizational knowledge regarding competitive trends, health care environmental influences and investment performance against various marketing channels Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree (MBA) required Minimum of 10 years of experience in an overall commercial/business function having held executive roles in recognized innovative organizations Experience in Specialty or Rare Disease, preferred Experienced at representing the commercial function at the CMG, ERDG, SMT, and Board meetings, as well as being an active contributor Experience in a fast growing and decentralized environment Evidence of leading an organization through rapid growth Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information Ability to deliver against set objectives while operating in stressful situations Ability to deal with shifting priorities and issues inherent to a fast growing organization Demonstrated skills in both written and oral presentations Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects at the same time Capacity to conceptualize as well as operationalize commercial strategies Strong leadership skills and superior organizational awareness Experienced at managing diverse and geographically remote teams Ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally New hires based in the US will be required to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption or accommodation to this vaccination requirement, subject to applicable law Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid maternity leave Paid paternity leave Commuter benefits Disability insurance
