Your New Role:

In working with Vitesse Systems, our Technical Support Specialist will provide helpdesk IT support to the organization. The Technical Support Specialist will support special projects as directed by the Infrastructure Manager.

  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Working knowledge of an array of various technologies, including Active Directory, Office365, cyber security, PC hardware & software, virtualization, cloud, networks, routers, switches, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN.
  • Strong Problem Solving / Troubleshooting Abilities with prior experience in a similar role.
  • A knack for quickly understanding various technology applications and systems.
  • A demonstrated a desire to learn the newest technology and trends continually.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with users and coworkers.
  • Never-ending learning student.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Primary Day-to-Day duties will include:

  • Ability to solve 95% of complex Level 1 & 2 tickets without escalation.
  • Providing direct desktop and workstation support, including troubleshooting and supporting PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, and communication devices.
  • Managing daily IT functions and troubleshooting tasks
  • Troubleshooting system problems
  • Integrating, maintaining, and monitoring user systems
  • Training users on hardware and software
  • Supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of physical equipment required for business operations.
  • Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, resolving, and updating company software and systems such as email, OS, and technical programs.
  • Supporting IT projects and internal initiatives as directed by the Infrastructure Manager.
  • Maintaining inventory of equipment, software, licenses, etc.
  • Documenting IT-related procedures

What supervisory responsibilities does this role include. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    What Education and/or experience are we looking for?

    · High School Diploma or equivalent

    · 1 year of experience in a similar role. Experience may be substituted by:

    o BS in related field

    o AS in related field

    o CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent
