SMT Manufacturing Specialist Tasks & Duties

Hand soldering intricate electronic assemblies with precision and care

Electro-mechanical assembly, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical specifications

Set up and load feeders, boards, and materials for SMT line operations under supervision

Operate basic SMT equipment, including a solder paste printer, and assist with SPI setup

Visually inspect boards for obvious defects and escalate issues as needed

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of SMT workstations and tools

Follow detailed work instructions and comply with ESD and safety protocols

Preform other duties and support other areas as needed, based on business requirements or production flow

Operates manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety protocols to optimize production processes and maintain efficiency

Enter and updates product tracking data to ensure accurate, up to date records for quality control and inventory management

Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards

SMT Manufacturing Specialist Shift Info

Swing Shift, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am

Monday - Thursday

SMT Manufacturing Specialist Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

High School Diploma or GED

Basic computer skills and the ability to follow written instructions

Strong hand eye coordination and attention to detail

Ability to work standing for extended periods

Ability to read, write and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements

Effective verbal and written communication in a technical environment

Collaborates effectively within a team and adjusts to shifting priorities and environments

Must be U.S. Persons within the definitions of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance

SMT Manufacturing Specialist Preferred Qualifications
