Payroll Tax Specialist

Job Title: Admin Support Clerk - III
Location: Lake Mary, FL

Position Type: Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely submissions of all State and Local Tax registrations for regulated and non-regulated companies.
• Coordinate with third-party providers for account setups and maintain synchronization with the system of record.
• Manage state & local tax accounts including registrations, updates, and closures.
• Review internal tax Control Reports related to payroll processing.
• Collaborate with tax agencies to resolve inquiries on withholding registrations.
• Perform data analysis, account maintenance, and tax reconciliations.

Must-Have Skills:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
2. Strong collaboration skills across various organizational levels.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Bachelor’s degree.
5. Three or more years of relevant work experience with multi-state and local taxes.
6. Experience with state and local tax account updates.
7. Familiarity with 3rd party tax applications like ADP.
8. Experience with HRMS and Payroll processing, preferably with PeopleSoft and/or Workday.
9. Intermediate Excel proficiency.

• Understanding of end-to-end Payroll processes.
• Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.
• Flexibility for scheduling demands, including weekend work during Year End.
• Strong sense of urgency, proactive approach, and focus on results.
• CPP or FPC certification.

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.

Logistics:

• Shift: Standard 9-5pm with potential weekend work during Year End.
