Machine Operator (2nd Shift) - High Plains Manufacturing

This Machine Operator will operate one or more of the various production machines. Machines operated may include drills, saws, press-brakes, punches, shears, hi-definition & CNC plasma, etc. As a cross-functional team member of this division he or she may also assemble components and perform other duties as assigned as part of RedGuard’s joint venture, High Plains Manufacturing. As a Machine Operator, you are integral in supporting RedGuard’s goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.
Responsibilities- Manage and operate production equipment while monitoring the performance of the machine and carrying out operations in proper sequence.
- Assemble fixtures, mount parts in fixtures/components, and perform mechanical assembly using hand and air tools (wrenches, torque wrenches, impact wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
- Maintain inventory, and routing of parts and maintain production records.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment
- 6-12 Months of previous machine operations experience with Shears, Press-Brakes, CNC Plasma, Bandsaws, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
- Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure, squares, and other tools specific for job task.
- Ability to pass company required welding certifications.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal; reading blueprints; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and fabrication/welding of parts at distances close to the eyes. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment
- The worker is exposed to adverse environmental conditions, such as hot and cold climates, dusty, and noisy areas.
