Job Description

The Bag Line Machine Operator plays a key role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by operating and monitoring bagging equipment to maintain efficient production and consistent product quality. This position requires strong attention to safety, mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting, and a commitment to plant cleanliness and housekeeping at the end of each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor bagging equipment and related machinery on the production line to maintain efficient output.
  • Ensure product quality by performing regular inspections and quality control checks during the production process.
  • Monitor equipment performance throughout the shift and identify any irregularities or issues.
  • Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on bagging and robotic equipment to resolve minor operational problems.
  • Maintain continuous production flow by responding promptly to equipment or process interruptions.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and coworkers.
  • Support housekeeping activities by cleaning spilled material around the bagger and robotic equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain general plant cleanliness in the work area, including sweeping, organizing materials, and keeping walkways clear.
  • Work effectively as part of a production team, communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Adhere to attendance expectations by arriving on time and reliably completing assigned 12-hour shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
