Step into our Newington, NH machine shop as a CNC Precision Machining Specialist and own the details that make complex parts work. You’ll report to the Machine Shop Supervisor, work 100% onsite, and contribute on 2nd shift only. We’re hiring across skill levels—your interview, capabilities, and plant needs will determine placement. Local candidates to the Newington, NH area only.

What a day looks like
  • Run metal-cutting and metal-forming equipment to produce precision components.
  • Choose and apply the right measuring instruments and hand tools for the job.
  • Interpret drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions, ensuring no conflict with PP-09-01.
  • Deliver tight-tolerance results to engineering specifications with high attention to detail.
  • Operate any qualified machine type from the department training matrix with minimal ramp-up.
  • Decide when jigs/fixtures are needed and fabricate them to support accurate machining.
  • Set up machine tools and parts/castings to meet print requirements; timing varies by size and complexity.
  • Load—or coordinate loading of—your machining center to maintain flow.
  • Run multiple machines concurrently when proximity, training, and qualifications allow.
  • Modify and troubleshoot machining programs when qualified; not required for the role.
  • Keep your area audit-ready with 5S and strong housekeeping while following all safety and criticality procedures.
  • Own in-process quality and verify tolerances throughout the machining cycle.
  • Operate with minimal guidance while collaborating as needed.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience with proven proficiency as a Westinghouse – Newington Machinist B or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of CNC G-code.
  • Hands-on expertise with tooling, fixtures, and setups to achieve quality results.
  • Familiarity with and daily practice of 5S principles.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts.
