National Account Sales Manager - Retail

Fresh Mark, based in Northeast Ohio, is seeking an Account Manager, with experience in meat or food-based categories, to drive the flagship brand of Sugardale Meats through retail grocery customers with a National or Large Regional footprint. As a part of our Retail sales team, you will lead the development of your business and be accountable for growing the presence of the Sugardale brand as we expand in National Retailer and Distributors. You must be an aggressive, disciplined leader who enjoys an entrepreneurial environment where career success is driven by results.

Key Accountabilities:

• Developing and executing Corporate and retailer-based sales strategies to drive penetration and growth at retail customers.
• Identify customer needs and providing product solutions to drive category growth.
• Generate, maintain and grow sales for the attainment of volume and margin objectives.
• Analyze distribution, shelf presence, base and promotional pricing and merchandising plans to drive category growth at key accounts.
• Apply category management principles to identify opportunities to increase distribution and grow share versus competition.
• Work with Marketing to develop effective presentations for sales targets.
• Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment.
• Manage brokers and other 3rd party business support entities to ensure optimal ROI.

Requirements:

• Experience in meat or food-based categories is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or related field and 4-5 years of experience selling to National and Large Regional retailers and/or distributors.
• Willing to travel
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in technology, ability to learn new programs
