Pipelayer/Topman

We are adding to our utilities team. There are several positions available for Pipelayer and or topman.

Essential Functions:

• LAYING PIPE SECTIONS
• SETTING MANHOLES AND FINISHING STRUCTURES
• CHECKING PIPE AND OTHER ELEVATIONS
• SHOVELING OR SWEEPING OF MATERIALS
• OPERATING AIR HAMMERS, PUMPS, COMPACTORS, SAWS, OTHER SMALL TOOLS
• WORK PRODUCTIVELY FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIME WITHOUT SUPERVISION
• WORK WELL INDIVIDUALLY OR WITH OTHERS IN A TEAM SETTING
• OTHER TASKS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR OR MANAGEMENT

Qualifications:

• Driver’s license and reliable transportation to job site
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening/physical
