Samet is looking for a creative professional with impeccable graphic design skills and solid career experience. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced, fun team environment, and is adept at managing multiple projects. The position requires working knowledge of print and digital design. Must have a minimum of 5 years design experience and a strong portfolio *not student work *

The Samet team provides a portfolio of diversified professional contracting services for construction of commercial/industrial, education, multi-family and medical/healthcare construction projects. Samet seeks a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team! This position can sit in any of our regional offices

Design Portfolio MUST be submitted at time of application to be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the importance of consistency in branding with the ability to recognize, apply, and evolve Samet brand standards.
  • Create diverse print and digital projects; logos, identity collateral, posters, brochures, flyers, signage, windscreens, presentation materials, career fair kits, apparel, swag, vehicle wraps, advertisements, and project proposals.
  • Foster and sustain relationships with print vendors and other marketing resources.
  • Work in collaboration with other designers, integrating original design ideas with art direction from the Creative Director.


Qualifications / Skills:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Canva, and WordPRess.
  • Independent worker with initiative and design confidence. Understands and applies the rules of design.
  • Advanced design skills with expertise layout, typography, and photo retouching.
  • Knowledgeable in digital and offset printing techniques and web application best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking and time - management capabilities.
  • Detail - oriented, with proficiency in both Mac and PC environments.


Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or Marketing (Bachelor's or Associate's)
  • Minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience.
  • MUST provide a portfolio with at least two examples of each of the following:
    • Logo design
    • Print collateral demonstrating layout, composition and typography skills (brochure, flyer, poster, etc)
    • Branding campaign (series of work with consistently branded elements)
    • Layout/art created in Adobe Illustrator
    • Enhanced or retouched images in Photoshop
    • Any favorite project that showcases a high level of design skill
