Job description

Taking direction from the Sr. Manager, Creative Design, and working out of our Cincinnati office, this position will play a key role in our marketing department. In this role, you will take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media. Graphic Designers will have expert knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams at PIP, the graphic designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, passionate designer who will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design Creation:
    • Develop and design creative assets, including digital and print materials such as social media graphics, website banners, brochures, posters, logos, infographics, packaging and advertisements.
    • Create visually compelling layouts and designs that align with brand guidelines and project requirements.
    • Brainstorm and present creative ideas to internal teams.
  • Production and Delivery:
    • Prepare final design files for production or publishing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
    • Work with printers, developers, and other production professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with design, marketing, content, and product teams to align designs with business objectives.
    • Incorporate feedback from team members, clients, and stakeholders into the final design.
    • Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while meeting deadlines.
    • Prioritize tasks effectively and communicate progress with team members.
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Utilize design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other relevant software to create high-quality designs.
    • Leverage AI tools for concept exploration, image generation, and workflow efficiency to support faster, high-quality design output.
    • Edit and enhance images, illustrations, and other visual elements as needed.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Proofread and review all design work for errors or inconsistencies before submission.
    • Ensure designs are optimized for various platforms (e.g., print, web, mobile).
    • Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field
  • 3 - 6 years of proven graphic designing experience with a strong portfolio
  • Experience with design software and technologies (such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using AI-based tools for image generation, concept exploration, and workflow optimization while maintaining brand standards and creative integrity.
  • Experience with photography, video and editing is a plus
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment and work independently on projects
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
