Job description

About Kind Vet

At Kind Vet, we believe veterinary medicine should be built around kindness to our patients, their families, and our team.

We are committed to providing the highest quality medical care and exceptional customer service to our patients and clients through trust, honesty, and integrity. Our mission is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and stress-free environment where pet owners feel heard, supported, and informed, and where pets can receive veterinary care with as little fear, anxiety, and stress as possible.

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated Veterinarian to join our growing practice in Brooklyn. We’re seeking a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine, enjoys building lasting relationships with clients, and wants to work in a supportive, collaborative environment.

If you’re looking for a practice where you can grow professionally, receive meaningful mentorship, and be part of a team that genuinely cares about both patients and employees, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to dogs and cats
  • Perform wellness examinations, vaccinations, and preventive care
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
  • Perform routine surgical and dental procedures, as comfortable
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate them clearly to clients
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pets and their families
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians, assistants, and the Kind Vet team
  • Participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in veterinary medicine
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality care while maintaining a positive client experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Veterinary Medical Degree (DVM, VMD, or foreign equivalent)
  • New York State veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure
  • If you have worked at clinics in multiple states, licensure must be in good standing or you must be eligible for licensure in each applicable state
  • A passion for providing a superior veterinary experience for both patients and employees
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with a high degree of integrity and accountability
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to teamwork
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to veterinary care
  • Genuine love for animals and their families
  • Commitment to practicing high-quality, ethical medicine

Mentorship & Growth

At Kind Vet, we believe great veterinarians never stop learning. We provide personalized training and mentorship plans for veterinarians who are post-internship, as well as veterinarians at any stage of their career.

All of our veterinarians receive continuing education opportunities in key areas of practice, including dental, ultrasound, and urgent care CE.

You'll also have access to board-certified veterinary specialists whom you can reach out to for expertise and guidance on challenging or complex cases. You don't have to navigate difficult cases alone. Our team and specialist network are here to provide additional clinical support when you need it.

Struggling with difficult client conversations? We can help you build the tools and confidence you need both medically and professionally.

Whether you're looking to strengthen your clinical skills, become more confident with procedures, or grow as a leader and communicator, we're committed to supporting your professional development.

What We Offer

  • Competitive annual salary based on position, location, qualifications, and experience
  • Personalized mentorship and training
  • Access to board-certified veterinary specialists for case consultation and clinical expertise

Why Kind Vet?
