How to get a job as a seasonal graphic designer with no experience?

To get a seasonal graphic designing job with no experience, build a strong portfolio showcasing personal or volunteer projects, learn industry-standard tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and consider completing online courses or certifications to demonstrate your skills. Entry-level positions often value creativity and willingness to learn over experience, so applying to internships or freelance gigs can also help you gain relevant work samples.

Is there still a demand for seasonal graphic designers?

Seasonal graphic designing remains in demand as businesses seek visual content for holidays, events, and promotional campaigns. Skills in Adobe Creative Suite and understanding of marketing trends are valuable for seasonal projects, which often require quick turnaround and creativity. • Partner closely with Design, Merchandising, Sales, and Brand Management teams to conceptualize and launch seasonal collections across multiple channels of distribution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting calendar deadlines.
  • Ensure line sheets, design catalogs, artwork libraries, and production logs are organized and up to date.
  • Support showroom merchandising and seasonal market presentations.
  • Mentor and develop junior design team members, providing guidance, feedback, and creative direction.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of graphic design experience within the apparel, fashion, or consumer products industry.
  • Experience designing for youth, teen, and active lifestyle categories strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fashion graphics, trend forecasting, typography, color, and print techniques.

Regular interaction with cross-functional teams ensures alignment on product vision, quality standards, and seasonal objectives.
Compensation
Salary Range: $75,000 – $125,000 annually
