Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Speech Language Pathologist organizes and provides speech-language services for the agency to facilitate rehabilitation. They direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Also, the Speech Language Pathologist facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for communication and swallowing, to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. They direct activities to promote and maintain health, within the scope of practice and consistent with the Code of Ethics of the profession.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment outcomes.
Stay updated with latest research and developments in speech-language pathology field.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards of practice.

Required:

Current Online verification of, valid, Maine state license along with copy of actual license.
Minimum of 2 professional references from most recent facilities worked
Copy of ASHA Card and ASHA NOMS Registration Letter
Minimum of 2 professional references from most recent facilities worked
CDC Vaccination Card
