Job Description
Design and implementation of firmware that runs on RWLS custom hardware. Collaborate with
hardware engineers during design of new products to ensure firmware will integrate with the
hardware. Maintain and debug existing products. Occasionally provide support for RWLS custom
production line utilities.
Product Development
•Design embedded firmware based on product requirements
•Design and implement GUI and keypad/display type user interfaces
•Understand electrical schematics for existing products to fix issues and/or to add new firmware functions to existing designs
•Help define and execute tests to validate product features
•Participate in research and development discussions
Maintenance
•Update firmware to deal with part obsolescence or cost reductions
•Provide solutions and feedback for customer reported issues as well as new feature requests
•Provide input for product documentation
Testing & Quality Control
•Bug testing & quality control
•Help debug and improve firmware functions used for manufacturing
Technical Support and Customer Service
•Maintain competitive knowledge of Right Weigh products and their functions
•Problem-solve customer technical service issues and coach staff in problem-solving techniques as needed
Cross-Team Interaction
•Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities
