Job Description

Purpose

The Equipment Maintenance Technician executes throughout the Drug Product and Packing manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging without supervision. Displays a high-level aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting. He or she will be responsible for creating a quality-focused environment by motivating/influencing and training others while driving for excellence within the Branchburg location. Responsibilities

• Proven success in all tasks and skills as defined in the Technician, Equipment Maintenance role, including but not limited to servicing and operating automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment across multiple value streams independently.
• Leader in Safety initiatives for their area of responsibility. Directly participates in all safety process improvement projects/initiatives and PHA's. Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and guidelines, and facilitate a proactive safety culture.
• Executes work orders in the CMMS (Maximo) for repairs/improvements to be planned and scheduled. Skillset to provide maintenance team coverage, when necessary.
• Servicing and operating automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment to produce finished product on 3 value stream with the ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting. Fully capable in troubleshooting and resolving equipment and process related setup and operation issues. Ability to escalate and communicate to Engineering & Maintenance appropriately if further troubleshooting and repairs are required. Partners with Maintenance and Engineering by identifying equipment and process related improvements and assisting/owning implementation.
• Operations representative and participant for qualification of new equipment installations.
• Responsible for identifying and help executing continuous process efficiencies.
• Voice of the Operator when new technology is implemented by attending and executing Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs).
• Required to interface with the Tech Center and Engineering on any improvements or process changes. Key leader in procedure updates, CPR updates and testing POMs updates.
• SME and trainer for areas of expertise in manufacturing and packaging.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, and 5 - 6 years cGMP manufacturing experience operating automatic, manual, or semi-automated equipment in production processes in accordance with operating procedures is strongly preferred.
• Technical experience and troubleshooting aptitude in manufacturing and packaging
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs and applications required.
• A demonstrated focus and understanding of the importance of maintaining the highest level of quality and ensuring compliance to site level policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate issues to appropriate operations, engineering and mechanical teams required and the capability of reading P&IDs.
• Proficient understanding of HMI controls, vision inspection systems, and product serialization systems in order to troubleshoot and resolve inefficiencies in a timely manner. Evaluate data and understand trends and alarms.
• Proficient with systems such as POMs, SAP, and MAXIMO
• Knowledge in mechanical equipment, including pumps, piping, manifolds and valves
• Requires standing up to 8-12hs per day and lifting up to 25 pounds
