Senior Unity Developer

We are looking for a self-starting, creative, driven, and results-focused engineer to help develop our platform. You will be focused on solidifying our existing platform to support an ever-growing catalogue of games.  This includes, but is not limited to, the development of additional tools, enhanced features, and improved architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Translate written and verbal requirements into compelling and engaging features
• Not only lead the development of new features but also the refactoring of old ones
• Work in close partnership with the backend team, such as talking to server APIs, publishing to an event stream, and integrating with DevOps
• Identify and innovate opportunities to refine and improve the user experience
• Write technical design documents for milestones and internal use
• Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work

Requirements:

• 6+ years of Unity Development experience for mobile games and/or apps aimed at a younger audience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with the Bible
• Ability to manage time and work effectively and efficiently to produce deliverables in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
• Experience and willingness to work collaboratively with Creative Directors, Engineers, and other Game and Level Designers
• Knowledge and experience in working with Production to scope, schedule, and deliver specs and game features in a timely manner
• Demonstrated knowledge of gameplay mechanics and systems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively through design specs
• Up-to-date with the latest game trends, techniques, and technologies

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel to Austin (or any location that may be requested) as required by Leadership
