Novellis Health seeks an experienced and compassionate Lead Radiation Therapist to join our state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology department. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional technical skills, a commitment to precise treatment delivery, and the ability to mentor and inspire other radiation therapy professionals. This position works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest quality care to our patients in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Expertise:

Deliver safe, accurate, and efficient radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and protocols.
Possess a strong understanding of radiation oncology principles and treatment techniques (e.g., IMRT, IGRT, SBRT).
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in radiation therapy technology and procedures.

Leadership and Teamwork:

Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to radiation therapists and therapy assistants.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the department.
Motivate and inspire staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Quality and Safety:

Implement and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and serve as a role model for other staff members.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

Must be a licensed Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of radiation therapy techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Commitment to patient care and quality improvement.
