Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of assigned oil and gas processing equipment, including the identification of problems or potential problems; documentation and production reporting.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the production performance and EHSR performance of assigned wells and facilities
  • Analyze production volumes and relay necessary improvements/solutions to Lease Operator team and associated Foreman
  • Lead efficient, safe, compliant well and facility operations. Identify and mitigate risks
  • Assist well LOE cost control
  • Work with Production Engineers to identify and prioritize well intervention opportunities and help with production look backs when necessary
  • Assist with scheduling, and assignment of daily/weekly production operations in assigned area
  • Ensure the daily operations of assigned lease operators and third party contractors are properly supervised
  • Ensure the necessary tools and equipment are available for production and midstream operations including sight specific equipment and parts
  • Conduct well start-ups of new wells and facilities, initiate actions that will enhance the operations safety and environmental performance. Ensure that start-ups occur on-time and on or under budget
  • Ensure daily coordination with and prep work for workover rig, maintenance or any other SIMOPs operations
  • Participate in Production Engineering lead route reviews and help with production enhancement from the reviews
  • Help Foreman assure that pressures, well status, and comment entries into Merrick are correct and done in a timely manor
  • Assist with LOE expenditures to include materials, overtime, and contractor spend. Bring cost saving ideas to Foreman or management
  • Be proficient in computer skills and related automation equipment as necessitated by area/company requirements
  • Participate in operational cost evaluations
  • Develop lease operators’ competency through technical and on the job training and mentoring
  • Accountable for facility compliance with governmental regulations
  • Assist with evaluations of facilities, equipment, and measuring failures
  • Assume responsibility for area operations in absence of Production Night Foreman
  • Comply with surface owner contracts and federal, state, and local rules and regulations
  • Work regular work schedule with possibility of extended hours and call-outs
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements
  • Assure work performed adheres to CIVI standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Basic to intermediate math and computer skills are required.
  • Demonstrated team player with good attitude and work ethic, flexible and good interpersonal skills.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass a driving and criminal background check.
  • Must be willing to work overtimes as required.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • 4 years + experience in relevant Oil and Gas field experience. Previous experience as a Lease Operator/Pumper role preferred.
  • Mechanical skills, experience working with oilfield tools and equipment is preferred.
