Description

The Trainer will assist in facilitating, organizing and maintaining training programs, with an emphasis on both professional development and technical trainings. The Trainer will also be responsible for tracking attendance, disseminating surveys, updating training materials and producing and monitoring reports. Familiarity with instructional methods and experience with various learning systems that support the training processes and programs is expected. Candidates fluent in Spanish are preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitates virtual and in-person training and development programs using various media and formats including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos.
  • Supports IT department with trainings, including new hire IT orientation.
  • Supports Community Services with trainings.
  • Generates daily test results and retraining requirements, and analyzes training reports with the team.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback in collaboration with supervisors, managers, and other team members.
  • Assists with maintaining edits, enhancing training materials and processes while keeping files organized and archived, as needed.
  • Researches and identifies areas in which training is required and/or beneficial.
  • Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changes.
  • Manage availability and schedule for on-going trainings, including link creations and invitations.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.


Requirements

Competencies
  • Strong presentation and facilitation.
  • Comfortable delivering training programs to both internal teams and customers.
  • Proven work experience as an IT Trainer, Technical Trainer or similar role
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
  • Follows directions with ease.
  • Strongly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual learning platforms such as Zoom and Webex.
  • Experience with e-learning software, Learning Management Systems (TalentLMS and Relias) and other related software to support training e.g., registration systems.
  • Experience with survey and measurement tools, data collection and analysis.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing effective training programs.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Some flexibility to work longer days, after hours or weekends.
  • Comfortable working with individuals with disability.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of training experience required specifically both technical and professional development areas.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and scanners.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers and also must be able to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Travel

Travel is required for this position within Massachusetts.
