Assembly Technician I

Position Summary:
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for producing and installing Sub-Assemblies, Main Assemblies, and wire harnesses of AGT products and associated equipment internally. Performs all tasks associated with the assembly of gaming devices and related equipment in the Las Vegas NV. Facility. Always maintains a clean and safe work environment while in the Ainsworth Gaming Technology facility. Ensure all sub-stations are free from debris and are organized in a clean and presentable fashion.
Mandatory Pre-Requisite:
• Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming License
Role Specific Responsibilities:
• Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
• Reads and deciphers schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Positions or aligns components and parts.
• Uses hand tools to assemble parts.
• Some occasional forklift driving {Onsite Certification Provided if needed}
• Conducts quality control checks throughout the Assembly process.
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• If needed verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains sub-assembly line supply inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Able to work in small, confined spaces with both hands
• Stand for long periods of time
The Assembly Technician #1 produces in shop assemblies of AGT products and associated equipment in accordance with appropriate AGT operation and service guides, and department policies and procedures.
Assembler Skills / Qualifications:
• Some Mechanical and technical skills preferred but not required
• Some Physical stamina and strength
• Safety management mindset
• Focus on quality control throughout build process / s
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred Previous manufacturing experience, but required
• Preferred certifications such as Gaming School, fabrication, electronics, etc. but not required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Problem solving, troubleshooting
• Strong computer skills
Assembly Technician #1 Expectations:
• Within the 90-day probationary period:
• Become familiar with part / component familiarization, specific to Production Sub-Assembly workstations
• Acquire working knowledge of at least (4) Sub-Assembly workstations and their associated work instructions
• Successfully perform each Sub-Assembly within a 7.5min. timeline.
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset with regards to process efficiencies, and work product quality
