Are you a seasoned CPA with a passion for the gaming industry and a track record in start-up environments? Vaco Resources is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to guide a pioneering gaming company through its exciting initial stages of development.    

What You’ll Do:

• Establish the Finance Department: Lay the foundation for financial processes and systems from the ground up.
• Implement Accounting Software: Select and set up the most suitable accounting software to meet our dynamic needs.
• Develop Financial Processes: Create and manage accounts, oversee payroll implementation, and ensure efficient transaction and accounting processes.
• Provide Strategic Insight: Offer expert advice on financial management, tax planning, and the overall setup of the finance function.
• Prepare for Growth: Set the stage for a full-time finance team member by building a robust financial framework.

What We’re Looking For:

• Controller Level Expertise: A CPA qualification is preferred, with substantial experience at the controller level.
• Start-Up Savvy: Proven success in setting up and scaling finance departments within start-up environments.
• Gaming Industry Passion: A keen interest in the gaming sector, ideally with experience in VR or related fields.
• Strategic Advisor: Ability to serve as a strategic consultant, with a forward-thinking approach to financial management.
• Hands-On Implementation: Not just advisory, but also hands-on setup of systems and processes.

This role is primarily remote, but we’re looking for candidates local to Southern California, as occasional face-to-face meetings in Orange County will be part of the journey.
