Job Description
CoreSmart Pain Health Institute is seeking a dependable and detail oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The right candidate will possess a great work ethic and can handle a demanding workload with a smile. You must be good at multi-tasking, work well under pressure, and be a team player. This position is FULL TIME: part-time in our Boca Raton location and part-time in our location in West Palm Beach, FL.
Duties
CoreSmart Medical Assistants perform direct and indirect patient care in a clinical environment, assisting the providers with patient care and follow-up. They check in new and established patients for routine visits and procedures, room and prepare patients for exams including taking medical history, vital signs, and requesting reports needed for patient care. Our Medical Assistants restock and clean equipment, phone-in prescriptions and refills to the pharmacy as directed, answer phones providing routine information and take messages for the physician and staff.
Qualifications
§ Graduate of a Medical Assistant program (diploma required)
§ Must be CPR certified (Basic Life Support)
§ Must be capable of doing front and back office duties
§ Previous experience with an EMR is essential, knowledge and experience with pain management is a huge plus!
