Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Generalist

Atlas Manpower is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist to join our team. The CLS Generalist will be responsible for performing clinical testing in one or more of the following areas: chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university and must hold a current clinical laboratory license per the California State Board of Clinical Laboratory Science.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure accuracy and precision in testing.
• Analyze test results and report findings accurately and promptly.
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Troubleshoot instrument or assay problems and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory tests and procedures.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on new developments and advancements in the field of clinical laboratory science.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate patient care.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Current clinical laboratory license per the California State Board of Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and instrumentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and documenting results.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
