Site General Laborer

SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking self-motivated, dependable, hard-working General Laborers for our growing site team. Based out of our North East, MD Office, the General Laborers will primarily work on project sites in and around Northeastern, MD. A successful candidate should have a willingness to learn and ability to work in a crew-based environment. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment
• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
• Use various hand and power tools
• Operate roller as needed 
• Assist with removal of fine grade stones along curb lines and sidewalks
  
• Take and understand instructions from crew leaders
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required

• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work in a crew-based and fast-paced environment
• Punctuality and dependability are required

• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods and sometimes in unfavorable weather conditions
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
