It offers merchandise and content purchased for resale from vendors and those offered by thirdparty sellers.

Job Description:
  • The Selling Partner Trust team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with our Communications applications.
  • Your solutions will impact our customers directly!
  • Primary responsibilities include developing solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fixes for internally developed code (JAVA, React, Guice, AWS), writing Python scripts to move data, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
  • Responsibilities also include working alongside development on client Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of on-boarding processes and documentation of our systems.
Job Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications, and has experience in design and writing large scale, high TPS, high availability software.
  • They must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.
Preferred coding skills:
  • Java, React, Python, AWS Technologies, and/or C++. Other desired technical skills include Guice or Docker experience, JSON, Velocity Engine, UNIX/LINUX.
  • A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience is required.
Typical Day in the Role
Daily Schedule:
  • Build Tools for Uniform planned form
  • Support the sellers and Vendors with the tools
  • Turn multiple emails into Self Service
  • Hire 3 contractors (3 SDEs ) to consolidate all Seller enforcement communications to be sent through a single aggregator service to enable fine-grained control on the what, when, how and where for these communications.
  • SPT currently supports 110+ templates that are not Bluebird compliant and continue to make changes to or onboard 20+ templates every quarter.
  • Our plan to consolidate templates is making slow progress given resourcing / prioritization calls but a reduced number of templates will also translate to reduce outbound emails to sellers given consolidation of email content and centrally orchestrated frequency of emails based on seller preference and/or impact of the enforcement.
  • We plan to reduce number of enforcement related emails to sellers by 35% and enable graduated communication that is concise, consistent and has a clear path to resolution for all enforcement use-cases.
  • We will consolidate compliance related communication for Vendors through the same medium, ensuring consistency and reliability.

Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience:
  • 6+ years as a Java Programmer (Does not need to be Architect level)
Required:
  • 2-3 years of REACT experience
