Privileged Access Security Engineer

Summary:

• The role of the Privileged Access Security Engineer within the Cybersecurity Engineering team is crucial for managing risks related to the organization's information assets and systems.
• The primary responsibility involves implementing and supporting the privileged access security architecture across the enterprise. This includes managing the Privileged Access Management (PAM) program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with application teams to onboard privileged accounts to the credential vault following established procedures and standards.
• Address complex PAM integrated architecture issues, encompassing all aspects of the credential vault and related components.
• Integrate PAM with other applications through processes and APIs.
• Perform routine system maintenance procedures on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Provide analytical support for troubleshooting and be available for after-hours emergency assistance.
• Execute system and application patching during monthly after-hour maintenance windows.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must be LOCAL to Houston, TX Area and open to working 100% ONSITE; this is non-negotiable.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of professional IT experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or network architecture, with a focus on privileged access management solutions.
• Strong technical proficiency in PAM components like credential vaults, credential rotations, and privileged identity discovery mechanisms.
• Experience with tools like CyberArk Conjur, Sailpoint IIQ, etc., and remote connection management platforms like ASG-Remote Desktop, Devolutions RDM, etc.
• Familiarity with SCIM standards for PAM integrations.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PowerShell and scripting.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred security certifications such as CISSP, CIAM, SecretServer Engineer, CyberArk Defender, etc., and active membership in security associations like ISSA, ISACA, InfraGard, etc.
