Government Contract Advisor - Procurement

Responsibilities:
Procurement Advisor is a position for individuals with an understanding of doing business with government. The primary responsibility for the procurement advisor will be to advise individuals in understanding how to do business with government.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Worked in a government procurement/ small business / supplier diversity office or w/ a company that has done business with the government
· Understand laws and regulations for doing business with government entities
· Knowledgeable of the government systems for vendor registration
· Understand certification programs for small business, e.g., minorities, women, and service-disabled veteran-owned small business
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
· Minimum 3 years related experience in procurement, finance, process auditing, and/or training; or equivalent combination experience
· Government contracting, grant writing or procurement background
· Experience working with city, county, state or federal entity
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills
Employment type: Contract; potential for full time hire
Schedule: 40-hours a week; onsite Monday-Friday
