Please indicate the amount of long-haul dispatch experience at the top of your resume. Candidates with 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience will be given preference over those with customer service experience in the transportation field. Recent, relevant experience is required.

Job Description:

• This position no longer requires a college degree.
• This entry-level management position is responsible for learning all aspects of fleet operations. The Transportation Associate will work closely with an experienced supervisor to gain the necessary training and knowledge to excel within fleet operations. Daily responsibilities will revolve around dispatch operations of fleet trucks, including coordinating with drivers, covering unassigned loads, monitoring on-time delivery, managing driver safety, and addressing any issues that arise outside normal office hours. The associate may also rotate through various departments within transportation, including load planning and regional operations, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the operation. Additionally, this role will assume the position of weekend night/daytime dispatch and other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work a varying work schedule.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Basic computer skills such as email, Excel, and Word are required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn.
• Ability to lead and motivate others.
